Another question. If I make a Role a "Cameo" can I change it in the sequel? For example any appeareance of Thanos before Avengers Infinity War would not be more than a Cameo, but later he becomes one of the main characters.

You can change everything about the role, including the importance. The roles are separate database entries.

Hi, me again. I've run into an issue when creating new sources. All the sources start to repeat roles ans Topics. Both seem to multiply randomly.

When does that happen? When you create a new source? Or edit an existing one? And what exactly do you mean be "repeat"? When you click on a source, the same role shows up more than once in the role list? Is this consistent or do the clones go away when you restart the editor? Is there any way to trigger this multiplying? Is this happening with the newest version I updated a couple of days ago?

By "repeat" I mean it exactly how you guessed. The Roles and Topics I add first show up OK. But if I chose them, to review or edit, repeat themselves, showing up various times. Weirdly enough, the repitition is not consistent, sometimes every role shows up thrice in a Row, sometimes just one repeats, showing back up again at the bottom/top of the list. And yes, had downloaded the newest version of the editor.

Can you send it to me?

As expected you have up to 15 entries per role in your database. However just deleting the extra records in the role list via editor and then saving the changes fixed it for me just fine. Have you tried that? Just deleting the duplicates? That doesn't solve the mystery of how you ended up with 15 entries of the same role in the first place. Could you describe your workflow? When and how often do you press the save, add and reload database button?

Sure Thing. I usually add everything up to and including Topics, before I press the Add button for the first time. That's also when I press the Reload button, just to check that everyting was created ok. After that, I do everything including the roles (using the "+" symbol). While adding the roles I periodically press the Reload button for the same purpose.
Maybe I should also add, that I do my editing in windowed mode always, while having the IMDB page open, it's part of my system.

Keep up the good work - glad to see someone with a lot of love for the project throw in great effort.

So...I started from scratch, to have it more organized. I got a question regarding Franchises. As far as I can tell, there's no pricetag on them, ergo you can't buy complete franchises. When I create Sources that belong to a Franchise, in the Editor, will the game recognize if I named the same character in 2 or more different sources? And in that case, will the game automatically refer me to the earlier casted actor?
Also, let me know when the bug regarding relationships is fixed please, so I can really begin adding People and the relationships between them.

Actually you will only be able to buy the complete package. There is no price for franchises, because the price is the sum of all the prices of the works included in the franchise.
It will work as long as you use the exact same name of the role.
The Bug should be gone in the newest version posted in the opening post.

Hi There.
I'm happy to report that the bug regarding relationships seems to be gone, at the very least they show up correctly in the window. I noticed one thing about the relationships. By accident I made Gary Busey and Judy Busey to be married (assigned as spouse), and later on realized they are divorced. But I can't edit or erase relationships that are already saved.
By the way, the duplication/multiplication of topics and roles keep happening. I checked after creating sources, and it seems it happens whenever I have to edit previously created roles.
Aside of that, everything seems to be running smoothly.
EDIT: Yes, I tried erasing the duplicates, but when I reload the database, they show back up again.

I'm aware, I'm working on that feature.
This is driving me insane, because I can't reproduce it. I tried everything but I don't get any duplicates and deleting roles works perfectly fine, even if I use your Database. It just doesn't make sense, because that doesn't sound like a bug that depends on the system the application runs. It sounds like a faulty line of code, but if there would be a faulty line of code everyone would have this bug. Plus I checked the code and I can't find anythign wrong with it.
I think you should start fresh. Delete the entire Atomic Games folder in AppData. Make a backup of you database, but don't put it in yet. Download the editor again and start it up. That should create a new folder in AppData, including a new, untouched database. Play around with it for some time and try to reproduce the error. If it works fine you can probably put your version of the database back in. Tell me how it went!
