Some bugs in the new version:
1 - Every time I press the "Start production" button on rewrite script screen or I click on a movie that script has just been rewritten on Office Screen and I accept the screenwriter to be the director, a big $ value is decreased from the cash.
A small one:
2 - On Office screen, when the film script finishes being rewritten, the name "finished" is not green like the others.

Good find. The game handled hiring a writer as a director like buying a director out of a contract which resulted in the very high amount. I think i fixed it now.

Your game code looks pretty clean, since you are fixing bugs so quickly. Amazing!

God no, it's a mess. But it's my mess, so I can find my way around.

Movie holds are much nicer now in the new update but the theatrical to home media windows can get pretty long and it'd be neat if it was shortened to a few months or so. Alongside that, some stuff drops a little too quick, even for critically and audience panned disasters. Movies only making 1.3x or so in their opening in these cases is a little too steep, even with completely panned films the worst it gets is around 1.8x and thats if its really, really bad. Also, I think this is a very minor thing but sometimes the openings displayed when you have a movie open up are a million or so less than how its reported on the box office results page in the top 10. I think it would be really interesting as well to see if a post-production stage could be implemented, say if a movie gets dismal test screenings from audience members or your making a movie in concurrency with another movie in the same series and the latter gets middling reception so you have to take the film in production and try to tune it up slightly to make things better, and allowing you to put in how much effort you need for post production, such as how much money you put into reshoots and how egregious you could make it. Also one other option for making followups is seeing the reception on the first film and seeing how you can fix it up and fleshing that part out rather than have it only show up for a moment and not being able to go back to it. I've also found an odd bug where sometimes movies would get absolutely dismal reception but the overall stars rating is somewhat on the higher level. As it stands though, I am really enjoying the game as a more simulation focused take on this concept that has rarely been explored and I hope it goes well in the long run because there is a lot of potential here.

This happened before the update, but there's a script I bought, Father of the Bride, that is stuck at scriptwriting, nothing happens when I click on it.

If DVD sales are primarily based on box office, that's probably what is causing the bug, since the box office for movies released direct-to-DVD will be $ 0. But I don't know. I'm trying to help

Could you tell if there is any film with that exact name "Father of the Bride" created by you or competing studios? You can see in that list that have all the movies created. On the "Hollywood Insider" room.

I'm like 15 years into the game, and there are a lot of double up names, some 4 or 5 with the same name. Idk if possible, but making it so a film can only be named the same as another after an extended period of time like 10 years, would be ok. irl there are films with the same names, but usually a long time apart.

Was it released? When mine gave this bug, the film from the competing studio hadn't released yet. I did a test here. The bug occurs when there is another film with the same name in production. If the movie has already been released, you can repeat the movie name
