I have another question. For sequels, will you be able to automatically reprise the cast from the previous installment? Or will you have to cast them again?

Both? If the game detect a character of the same name belonging to the same franchise, you will get a pop up, asking you if you want to cast the same actor. That way you won't have to go through the entire list to find the same actors, but you still have the option to recast a role if you want to.

There is no maximum. NIIIIIIIICE! Cuz Hollywood Movie Studio had like just 10 roles to cast and that was disappointing cuz I wanted to make movies like infinity war lol

While playing Hollywood Movie Studio, I decided to make an entire recreation of the MCU and since the game had a shifty contract system, I often found myself having to deal with actors who would go from having no casting approval in the first Avengers to having Director/Casting Approval priviledges for the second Avengers, leading me to be unable to cast the respective actors to their roles. I had heard that you are foregoing the contract system for accessibility purposes, but will that issue I have listed above ever pop up? Maybe I should have read more, but I was wondering if you could elaborate on the alternative you came up with - would I come across that issue or an issue similar to it in the new game?
Also - absolutely love that you are implementing a franchise feature, really excellent and unique to the genre (Showtime! never had it and it really was upsetting).

I'm not entirely sure what that means, because it has been a while I have played that game. Can you elaborate? Anyways... as of right now you will always be able to cast the same actor for a sequel(prequel/spin-off). I thought quite a bit about that, but eventually decided that it would just be too frustrating for the player otherwise. I know it's not entirely realistic, but then again... how many franchises or series exist where an important role had to be re-cast? Not many, right? Because most of the time the contracts actors sign already have a sequel clause, even if there is just a remote possibility that the movie will be part of a series. I excluded contracts for the game, because I see the player as the head the studio and these guys don't negotiate contract details. They would have lawyers for that. So I just worked with the assumption that the lawyers you hired where smart enough to add a sequel clause to the contract.

Yeah, absolutely!
So when you initially contract a star to be in a film, but also sign them to a sequel contract, the game will change their contract based on the success of the film (so if they are contracted to get a bonus if the film makes more than 300 million, they will get a bonus if it does, etc). But in one playthrough, I had one of my actors have their contracts change to where they were granted casting/director approval privileges. So I guess my question was: "If you do have a contract feature in place, will the actors/actresses be able to negotiate? Or will it just happen without you knowing?" But considering you are foregoing the whole contract thing, I assume you just select an Actor/Actress to be cast and that's it.
If that is the case, then o shit I like it.

That's right. And if you start casting a sequel (spin-off/ etc.) the game will search the Database for a role with the same name in the same franchise and automatically suggest that actor. You will get a pop-up saying something like "The role of Kylo Ren was last played by Adam Driver. Do you want to keep Adam Driver or do you want to recast the role?". That way you don't have to remember who played who (could be quite hard if you have multiple franchises with big ensembles) and still keep the established cast.
