Are low-budget movies allowed? With HMS I kind of wished there was more of a platform for low budget/independent movies, as these are often the award-winners.
I'd love some sort of festival circuit to go hand-in-hand with this? Perhaps just TIFF, Sundance, London, Berlin and Venice, as that gives a nice balance? All precluding the Golden Globes and Oscars?
Perhaps if you're a low-scale producer to start, you can premiere your films at festivals which then leads to distributors picking up the film for a wider release? (in the same way you've done TV networks bidding for tv shows, the distributors - WB, Disney, Fox Searchlight etc) could bid for distribution rights, which includes elements like 'Will spend X on Awards campaign' and 'Will play in X theatres' on top of the money factor.

At the moment the minimum budget for a movie is around 1 Million Dollars. And I definitely want to add at least one award of the artistic-indie-movie-type.
Sorry, but this won't happen. The game is designed to be a single player game and online support is way beyond my skill level.

Hotseat-Multiplayer would have been great. I don't care too much for online play in these types of games, so that exclusion doesn't bother me at all.

Another ideas can be a Fan Demand option :if fans of a movie wanted a sequel(or another series of a tv show), you will even get petitions and then you can decide whether you want to make the sequel or ignore the fans.

Are there Razzie Awards?

Funny you mention it, because I just decided to add them a couple of days ago, so yeah... totally in. But instead of increasing the winners stats, winning a Razzie will decrease them slightly.

Will there be an option to import a poster to your movie/tv series? Although I suppose this is a somewhat minor feature, I always thought it brought a tangible layer to Showtime!, and really made me feel like I actually made a movie.
Also, in this same line of thought, will there be an option to create a plot synopsis of what the movie will be about?
Keep up the great work!

Characters have a "CGI/Animation" option, so... it's possible.

Hi, I just discovered the game and been a fan of similar movies simulation games like The Movies, Showtime, and HMS. Can studios have contract players like back in Hollywood's Golden Age? I think it'll be a cool feature to make movies and stars out of the same actors kind of like The Movies.
Also, is there any type of decrease of sales/critical acclaim if you keep overusing the same actors/cast or the formula/plotline for different films?
Do Flop movies have a negative effect on actor's acclaim or status?
