But rarely more than 3 or 4 in one episode. For good reason, as an audience would be unable to follow that many different plot threads in just 50 minutes. Even complex shows like Lost or Game of Thrones only feature some of their story lines each episode. This is how it works in the game as well. You can have as many subplots as you want but only up to 5 (plus one main plot, so 6 in total) can be featured in a single episode.

Is it possible if a network does not want to renew your TV series, renew its in your own streaming service?

Yes, that's the plan. If you believe strongly in a show, you can invest your own money to keep it on air.

Hey! I love TV shows and simulation games, so I'm really thankful for you making my dream game come true! The progress looks great so far, but I just have a couple of inquiries on how you'll handle certain stuff. 1) How will you be handling ratings? TV ratings can be quite random and unpredictable, so what factors will you consider to make them as realistic as possible? 2) How will you be handling production? Certain shows will need longer filming & post-production than others, so how will you decide what shows have what production window? 3) Will you be implementing reputation? The better the shows you make are, the better the talent you attract etc. 4) Will you be implementing first look deals? This could work with the reputation mechanic. If you're down on money or about to go bankrupt, you could offer a first look deal across Hollywood to boost your funds or maybe the networks themselves come to you (with a bigger sum considering it was their initiative). 5) Will there be competition in TV production companies? Will you be able to acquire them and possibly obtain the rights to their shows (after which you could demand more money from the networks in order for them to keep a certain show or break the contract to move it to your streaming service: both of which could backfire). 6) Speaking of streaming services, will it be just your own shows or will it be more fleshed out? Can you acquire the streaming rights to shows not produced by you? How will the amount of subscribers your streaming service gets be decided? 7) Also speaking of rights, will you be able to decide who gets the rights for your show (the network/the production company)? Will there be other clauses you could put in contracts? If a network drops your show, you might have to pay them for the rights if you did want to get it on your own stresming service or maybe sell it to a different network. 8) How will actor contracts work? Can you sign them for multiple seasons (after which you'd have to renew their contract to keep them on the show for a higher salary and possible clauses)? Will you be fined for breaking contracts if you write them out of the show before their contract ends if the parting isn't mutual? 9) Will you be able to choose between a writer's room and specific writers for the entire season? A writer's room would make the scripting phase shorter, but could mean the quality differs more between episodes depending on which writer writes what episode. Choosing specific writers for the entire season could end up in a more cohesive and better quality season (depending on the writers), but will take longer with scripting. 10) Will networks be giving you deadlines for when seasons have to be finished for them to fit them into their schedule? If you miss the deadlines, the network could end up dropping thr show and suing you in case it's a breach of contract or they could offer you a delay depending on your relationship with the network and your reputation. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions to come later, but these are the ones I could think of for now! Thank you.

Hi! Thank Ypu for adding TV Shows! I love tv production games like in Empire TV Tycoon, and your game is more complex and i love it. Well I read everything in this thread and all i can suggest is there should be a List of Top 10 or Top 100 TV shows every week. That would be a great help. Also is LGBTQ part of The game? It would be great to do a boy and boy romance tv show or movie. And last thing, SEASON FINALE , it would be great if people will get excited on season finales and if ur tv shows gets renewed then people will be excited on next season premiere.

How will season renewals work? Will it be unpredictable at what stage we'll be renewed? For example if episode one does extremely well, might they order a second series? Or will it always be after the whole season has transmitted?
Can they renew for more than one season? Like order two more?
Is there a chance we won't get renewed?

Yes. It's a Topic you can add to your movies and shows.
I have not coded this part yet, but I like the things you suggest and it's close to what will try to do.
There is not set release date yet, but I would estimate that the game is roughly 50% done, so I think Q3 or Q4 2018 is realistic. And yes, it will be free.

It'd also be great if there were certain curveballs - like our high profile showrunner drops out of a second series, or one of our actors says he wants to leave after his contract for Season 3, so we'll have to kill him off etc. I know it's a fine line between annoying a player and surprising them.

If you want to make something like American Horror Story in the game and if the network renews the series, is it possible to cast different actors and the next season is completely a different story than the first season and nothing is related to every seasons if it gets renewed again.
I was wondering if u can also make anime tv shows in the game?
And lastly is it possible to have a LIVE tv show? Like maybe a talkshow or a comedy sketch show like Saturday Night Live, or Talentshows and game shows like The Voice and Xfactor.
Also is what is the minimum episodes for a tv show? Is a minisiries 5 episodes? Or 10 episodes? How bout a full season? And how do u feel about TV SPECIALS? Anyway im very excited for ur amazing game.

I can't answer most of your questions yet, because these features are still early in development, but I'll come back with answers. I promise.
