If you want to be extra helpful, fill out the blueprint below. I try to research the stuff I put into the database to get the stats right, but googling something remains unreliable if you never played the game/read the book/etc.

Sorry this took so long. It was a busy week at the hospital and compiling the list took a while. You can check it out here. As you can see, there's not much there yet, so I'm thankful for every contribution. I especially need help with the superhero stuff. Super important, but I hardly know anything about it (The only superhero movie I watched was Guardians of the Galaxy). |

I just thought, if you're doing the Demo-Thing, I could just add properties and talent in there and send you the file? I believe it's easier (not to speak of lessening your workload), to do it that way. Is the Demo planned to come with an Editor?

Yes, the Editor will be part of the Demo. I agree that it would be super helpful if you guys could just send me your database files and I would put everything together for the final release. I just need to figure out how to do this with the database software I'm using. I'll get back to you on that subject as soon as figured out a solution.

It is great to be realistic and have as many roles as possible. But it might be a bit time-consuming during gameplay to cast all the roles. The Hobbit (in the game), for example, has 20 roles! It will take an hour just to cast actors for each role. I remember playing Hollywood Movie Studio and some films had 10 roles and it was annoying every time to cast, especially when it was kids/teens roles and database didn't have many of them. I ended just clicking random actors or auto-casting just to get over with the casting process. And it was basically same actors playing in the each film.

I mean... keep it reasonable, but some works just require a lot of characters. I guess it kinda depends on how you play, but it absolutely does not take an hour to cast 20 roles. It's a pretty straight forward process. Auto-cast will be an option in the final game, but casting is one of the main gameplay features, so no limits. While we're on the topic, though: Make sure you always have at least one main character, one support character and one minor character (voice-overs and cameos count as minor). The game needs all three types for calculations. |
