Also how is finance sorted? Is it like HMS when the movie is released it just gives you the lifetime gross? Or will it be like Showtime when an amount is generated each week and we can track where the film is performing in weekly box office etc. How long will it be #1 and so on?
Latter is more interesting but understand more difficult to code probably.

1. 25 years is the limit for the alpha version. It will increase. How many year do you guys need? 50? longer? 2. Open auditions are only for finding new talents (you hire established actors directly). The summary will give you a rough idea about the persons stats. So yes, a good audition means good stats means good performance and vice versa. This won't be part of the alpha version. Is it a thing in real life? I haven't really found anything about it during my research. However, there will be events where you are offered/asked to produce a movie with one or more talents already attached. No. I'm not doing a remake of HMS. While there are certainly similarities, Film Studio Tycoon will have a slightly different focus (to be honest, I don't enjoy financial and contract gameplay in tycoon games all that much). The revenue is calculated week by week. I spent hours looking at real life box office stats to get the math behind the code right, but now it works pretty well.

Think first look deals would be interesting in long run, but I agree not a priority for alpha. Yes packaging is becoming increasingly common in the industry, especially in the US. The boundaries between production company and agency are breaking down as well (a lot of agencies have their own production arms now). Obviously that won't feed into the game, but I quite enjoy being offered a package generally. Not something that probably needs to be in alpha though! I can't tell you how happy the fact it's week-by-week has made me. So much more interesting.

Thanks for clarifying. I’m not too sure, maybe around 100 years?

I saw that the studio has a reputation, how does it affect in the game?

Right now it affects the willingness of artists to work with you (any other ideas?). It's also the score to measure you're success at the end of the game. When your game ends, you start a new one and try to beat your own record.

Maybe if you have a bad reputation and you make an amazing movie it will raise the rating since critics were not expecting it. you could also do the same thing with a good reputation bad movies get worse reviews due to the expectation

When your game ends, you start a new one and try to beat your own record. I think it'd be cool if it affected the buying of movie rights for properties as well. A certain author or game developer etc. might not want to sell the adaptation rights to a movie studio with a low reputation, because they think it won't turn out to be a good or successful movie and end up damaging their brand.

Probably a dumb idea , but maybe knowing like size , hair colour etc of a generated actor would help with immersion?

Anything in particular you would like to see? I love seeing filmographies and awards won on actors or directors profiles. Would love to see more about the writer stats and overview and profiles too.
