I open this Thread so I have a place to ask your opinion about minor features and ideas I'm contemplating.
Let's dive into it!
1. How do you feel about buying and selling rights and franchises from other studios? The source material you want to adapt might not be on the market. It might be owned by another studio. There could be an option to buy the property from this studio, but should the studio always agree if the offer is big enough or should there be a chance that the studio is totally unwilling to sell? It would be more realistic, but it might be frustrating if you really, really want to make for example a Star Wars Movie.

Maybe they won't sell us until we prove ourselves first or they are not been successful in creating Film/TV out of it. Or we can have a Cheat to them sell us.

I really like the idea of other studios not playing ball. If they got a moneyprinting property like Star Wars, why would they sell the rights? This offers another question. How would AI-Studios stop you from just doing an "original work" called Star War (as I assume the game will not let me create "Star Wars" as it already exists.) , but with all the same character names? Will the characters in the movies also be copyrighted? Maybe something to ponder on for the future.

I don't think I will include copyrights. There are lot's of movies out there that share a title and characters that share a name. However... creating your own fake Star Wars won't do you much good, because without the rights to the franchise you won't get the (In Star Wars's case huuuge) fan base bonus. That's the point of source material and franchises!
Oh, that's right. I could just add cheats for players who want to play Sandbox style. Good idea!

Could have it as an opt in/opt out system when setting up your game, like how Hollywood Movie Studio does it, with varying degrees of difficulty/realism (Box Office bias, Awards bias, etc)
