Like I said, I'm working on my coding skills. I'm doing a course. Bought a beginners and an intermediate course during the black Friday sale. I'm past beginner level but it's good to hear things explained by someone who knows this stuff. I might already know most of the coding they teach, but I'm certainly learning "good practice". A lot of that stuff is new to me, because up until now I more or less taught myself how to code learning-by-doing. My goal is to complete both courses and refactor the Film Studio Tycoon code afterwards (I'm already dreading that... 90.000 lines of messy, unorganized code).
Would you mind stop asking for updates? I appreciate your support, but it's a lot of pressure. I promise you to update you guys when I make any kind of interesting progress. I know you want to play the game, but keep in mind that I'm doing this for fun in my (very, very limited) free time, so yeah... there will be long stretches of time where I won't work on the game, either because I can't or because I don't want to. You just have to trust me that I will finish this game (and I will, because I want to play it myself). In the unlikely case I do decided to abort development (really, the only reason for that could be starting from scratch with more knowledge under my belt) I will tell you as well. I won't just disappear without a word.

The Google Sheets that I'm making to include Movies, TV Shows, Games, Books, Comic Books, Plays, Mythology, Events, Biopics, People (Actors, Singers, Producers, Composers, Directors, Writers Etc). What stats are in the game for all those different categories? It would be useful so I can start adding stats to the Sheet.

I will try to give you an overview of the stats this weekend, but maybe it would be better to wait until I worked out how to export, import and combine databases? That way you could just give you the editor (the one I use to fill the database).

Yeah, that'll be great once you work out the editor. But I wouldn't mind the stats now for reference, and I will need help to accurately and fairly evaluate each property. And a lot I don't know a lot about and will need help to stat, such as books, plays, etc. And also will you start in 2018/19? Because it would be very interesting if you could start in different years.

Hello, I was wondering what the difference would be between talent and performance? Also are you going to have composers in the database? And what is the second screenshot? Is it for the source material? If so where are the options for books, comic books, plays etc. If anyone wants to help me appropriately rate the people in the database to make sure there isn't bias in the ratings, and to rate people that I might not know. Send me a message.

Topics! (Source Material is the first Screenshot)
Performance is the current skill level. The quality of the movie is influenced by the performance of the actors. Talent is (one of) the factors, that influences the development of a person. A very talented actor is going to improve his skills faster and reach a higher value than an actor with little talent.

Do you have the list of genres, subgenres, topics, plot time, era, setting, themes, type? Along with scope, tone etc? Would be really useful. And are the special effects, intelligence, pace etc ranked 1-10?

Sythushd, I have given this a bit of thought and tried a few things. I'll try to make the editor available for you. If you add your additions to an empty database and then send back you database file, I could combine the two databases (After proofreading and possibly editing your entries to make sure everything is balanced). That way you wouldn't have to do the work (believe me, it get tedious) twice and other users could enjoy it as well.
In case I don't get the editor to work (it's just a minor problem, but it's hard to google. I already contacted a friend with way more experience, so hopefully it will be solvable), how would you feel about downloading my database software (it's free)? You would have to add everything by hand (I'll teach you how to do it, but it's not that hard) which is even more tedious than adding entries via editor, but it would still better than you doing all the work twice.

Yes. Please do share your database software. I will be happy to use it to build the database as much as I can. If there's anything you need. Please ask. Willing to help as much as I can.
