As of right now the currency depends on you system language. Making this optional is probably possible but require me to go through several thousand lines of code and change a couple of hundred of those lines. Not very high on my to-do list, as you may understand.
How do you feel about cheat codes?
I remember that people would reject roles, but I think this was completely random? I'm not sure, though.

Financial Overview now with colors. It looks better, although I think it needs a bit more contrast to make it more readable.

Nope - that is perfect. I had no idea it was dependent on that, but now I am happy. I never thought of that 2. I'm A-OK with cheat codes. You're reading my mind a little. 3. Actors would reject roles based on what you offer them as a contract - too little for an A-Lister? Their "agent" will counter-off before they reject it. But the game also had a system when an actor/actress had Casting/Director Approval, you were BARRED from picking a specific individual if the Actor/Actress said no - now THAT was random.
You are hitting all the right notes in the development of this game. I would be more than happy to provide input if I have any to provide that would help.

pepperpirate with HMS actors would sometimes actors would audition and then not be interested, or not even audition at all because they were Looking At Other Projects or Not Interested. I loved the mechanic as it's more realistic but wish it wasn't random. It should be based on script, actor rating, relationship with you, director attached, other talent, money, prestige, fanbase if IP etc. All should add to the buzz of a project

Financial Overview now with colors. It looks better, although I think it needs a bit more contrast to make it more readable. This game is starting to look so well, that I'm getting quite excited about it! I love the idea of trends, the layout looks well, the realistic decisions of actors whether or not they are willing to join your cast is definitely a good thing and those extra random events should be fun to follow. What came to my mind, looking at the financial overview board actually was that a major part of the income for Hollywood studios is actually merchandise - just look at e. g. Frozen, the money it made in theaters is actually not that interesting to Disney, because they are making b-/millions just by selling toys, approved products with Anna and Elsa and the soundtrack CDs with iconic songs. As that's not the case for all movies, it is an important aspect of the income generated by blockbuster films which are mostly unlikely to get in green numbers just from ticket sales - the PR, ads and promotion of the movie costs high tens of millions and for the big movies, it's often a higher number than the production cost (It, Avengers...). I know that this is already a bit extra and definitely not something needed in the alpha version, but as you mentioned you'd like to get as close to a real Hollywood studio experience, I thought this might be an interesting thing to mention. Also, I hope that this time we can have more awards than just Oscars (e.g. Golden Globes, Writers Guild Awards, etc. Anyways, I can't wait for the alpha version and I love your progress, you are doing great, thank you! Enjoy the upcoming and deserved Christmas break!

This game has me hyped af. I can't wait for it to release! Me too! Things are really coming to together now. It's starting to feel like a real game. I hope there are no more major roadblocks ahead. I can't wait to share it with you guys. I signed my new part time contract last week. Starting January I will have one free week per month. Although some of that time will be spent working on my doctors thesis, I'm sure there will be some free time left to work on FST.

I believe I've mentioned this before and you (Admin) mentioned it wasn't an issue so far in play testing, which is great.
I wondered though, to stop the same actors/directors winning the awards every year (which is very unrealistic), could there be a cool down implemented? I.e when you're nominated for an award, the next year it's 10% harder to be nominated for that award? (Obviously this would only effect the next year). And maybe a slightly higher penalty if you won the award?
I found in HMS, it was near impossible to get a director nomination outside of the Big 5/6, unless it was a huge SFX sci fi film. Additionally, Paula Patton for example would be nominated three or four times every year, often multiliple times in categories, which would be impossible in real life.
I'm a big fan of the awards systems but I love when they reflect real life.
Would love to hear anyone's thoughts!

Believe me, it's not an issue. Obviously people with higher stats are more likely to win, but a) they still need a good movie to be considered b) the stats are dynamic c) the database is so big there is plenty of competition. There is no need for a cooldown, because people winning an award twice in a row is such a rare occurrence. Lowering the chances wouldn't make a noticeable difference.
To convince you I conducted another "study".
This his how the Oscars "Best Actor" category looked:
2018 Clive Owen Bryan Cranston Riz Ahmed Ross Butler Jaden Lieberher
2019 Timothy Spall Ewan McGregor Tum Sturridge David Oyelowo Aidan Gillen
2020 George MacKay Mel Gibson Finn Wittrock Douglas Booth Mahershala Ali
2021 John Cho Matt Smith Christian Slater Donald Glover Chord Overstreet
2022 Caleb Landry Jones Nicholas Hoult Nat Wolff Douglas Smith Thomas Brodie-Sangster
And "Best Director"
2018 James Mangold The Coen Brothers Michael Haneke Aljandro Innaritu Spike Jonze
2019 Mel Gibson Andrew Stanton Alex Garland Stephen Gaghan The Coen Brothers
2020 Spike Lee Roman Coppola Bill Condon Edgar Wright Tom Tykwer
2021 Lee Daniels Wachowski Siblings Roman Polanski Alfonso Cuaron Tim Burton
2022 Martin McDonagh Gus Van Sant Neil Burger Denis Villeneuve James Mangold
You see, no actor was nominated or won twice for 5 years. In the director category it happend with the Coen Brothers and James Mangold (although 5 years apart for Mangold), but no wins. It's more common for directors and writers, because there not as many in the database yet.

Budget yes, genre-wise most awards have a heavy bias towards dramas, so that's true for the game as well. What do you mean by profile?

Any ETA on when we will be able to get our hands on this?

The AI produced movie's quality is calculated on mostly the same basis as the players movies, meaning talented actors/directors/writers will lead to successful movies. So yes, movies with big names are more likely to win awards, but the bias is not that big.
My goal is a playable alpha version in Q1 2020, but this is a hobby project so take this with a grain of salt.

Will there a mechanism (other than cheats) to increase the number of script points for a film?
For instance, higher quality writers having increased script points? Or being able to have increased points as a trade for longer pre-production time?
